For the majority of schools — particularly those with fewer than 20–30 active students per month and moderate AI tool use — the free plan is the right permanent choice, not a starting point on a path to paid. This differs from most SaaS platforms, where ‘free’ is designed to create friction that converts users to paid.

When upgrading makes sense

Three situations where paid
adds clear value.

1️⃣You want the fast lane more often than your plan gives it — top up
Nothing stops when fast-lane credits run out — the relax lane is still unlimited, so this is only ever about speed. If you want more of it, €10 buys 2,500 fast-lane credits. Buy as many as you like; they never expire, so there is no commitment and nothing is wasted.
2️⃣You have more than 10 consistently active students — additional student credits
The free plan covers one educator and ten students. Past that the cap, not the AI, is what forces the decision: Pro takes you to 50 students and three sites for €29 a month, and Academy removes the limit entirely at €4 per active student. You pay only for students enrolled in a running class that month.
3️⃣If a second teacher needs an account of their own — Academy
Free and Pro are both single-educator plans. The moment a colleague needs their own login, Academy is the only route: unlimited educators and students, five sites, and 250 fast-lane credits per active student pooled across the school.
