Why sequence matters

Working out of order doubles the time
and halves the quality.

Eight hours is achievable for a 6–8 week course with 3 lessons per week — 18–24 lessons total — if you work in the right sequence. AI generates better output when it has a complete structural context to work from. Most creators work out of order: they have an idea for a great lesson, generate it, then try to build a course around it. This produces curriculum that is strong in isolated lessons and weak in progression — the connections between lessons are afterthoughts rather than designed relationships.

Write your exit assessment first

The final assessment defines
what 'course completion' looks like.

💡The single most important insight
Write your exit assessment before you write any lessons. The final assessment defines what ‘course completion’ looks like — which determines what each lesson needs to contribute. Creators who write the assessment first produce curriculum with clear, coherent progression. Creators who write lessons first and assessment last produce curriculum where the assessment tests whatever the lessons happened to cover.
The 8-hour build plan

Hour by hour.
The sequence that works.

⏱️Hours 1–1.5: Course outline and exit assessment
Generate the course structure: title, target student, prerequisite knowledge, weekly topics (6–8 weeks), and learning objectives for each week. Then write the exit assessment. This is your anchor — everything you generate next must lead toward it.
⏱️Hours 1.5–3: Lesson sequence — all lessons, no content yet
Generate all lesson outlines before generating any lesson content. For each of the 18 lessons: lesson title, 2 learning objectives, one key activity type, and the formative check concept. Scaffolding only.
⏱️Hours 3–5.5: Lesson content — in batches of 3
Generate full lesson content in batches of 3. Each batch should include the lesson outline context. One lesson at a time within the batch context produces coherent, connected lessons.
⏱️Hours 5.5–7: Editing pass — the 20% that makes it yours
Apply the 5-point editing framework from A3 to every lesson. This phase converts AI-shaped output into curriculum that reflects your pedagogical expertise. This phase cannot be skipped.
⏱️Hours 7–8: Packaging and listing
Remove school-specific references, format for publication, write the listing copy, set the price, and submit for marketplace review.
